Synopsis

The Woman in Red will be introduced by season curator Rebecca Nicole Williams, aka The Celluloid Sorceress.

San Francisco ad-man Teddy Pierce (Gene Wilder) is happily married until he becomes infatuated with Charlotte (Kelly LeBrock), the woman in the red dress he notices on a chance encounter. In his desperate attempts to get to know Charlotte, Teddy accidentally asks out the sterner Ms. Milner (Gilda Radner), a misunderstanding with hilarious consequences.

As Teddy does get to know Charlotte his friends (Charles Grodin, Joseph Bologna) egg him towards his unprecedented infidelity while dealing with relationship crises of their own, but the closer Teddy gets the more he may start to wish he’d never thought of cheating.

Gilda stands out in a terrific supporting turn as the woman scorned in an unfortunate case of mistaken identity. Wilder's remake of Yves Robert’s César Award winning farce Un éléphant ça trompe énormément was a worldwide hit. Stevie Wonder's soundtrack scored a massive UK #1 and an Academy Award with the song "I Just Called to Say I Love You".
