Education
Get involved at The Phoenix
Learning and engagement are a major part of what we do at The Phoenix. From screenings for schools and colleges to workshops and courses in film-making and animation, along with our popular kids club, we cater for all ages across the local community.
Kids Club
The Phoenix has a weekly screening for children on Saturdays at noon. The screenings are very popular, with tickets only £3, and there is a free workshop at 11am for children between 5 and 10yrs. Places for the workshop are strictly limited so book in advance and please arrive on time as we can’t accept latecomers! We do not take accept birthday parties or large groups for the activity but of course you are welcome to come and watch the film at 12 pm. Please note tickets booked online are for the film only. To book the activity please call the box office on 020 8444 6789. Please note, latecomers will not be admitted to the activity after 11:10am.
Toddler Time
For little ones aged 2-4, Toddler Time aims to introduce our youngest audience members to the magic of cinema with a 30 minute animation every Tuesday at 11am.
There is also a fun activity and chance to meet other parents and carers before the screening at 10.30am - places for the activity are limited and to avoid disappointment we suggest you book your spot as early as possible. This can be in person at the box office or by telephone on 020 8444 6789.
Schools & Outreach
Every term the Phoenix runs film screenings for schools. Tickets are just £1 or £2.50 per pupil, including a pre-screening talk and resources for follow-up activities. There are also lots of opportunities for events and workshops for pupils and students of all ages, so have a look at what’s on offer!
