Your Membership Supports:

An independent, not-for-profit (registered charity) community cinema. We are not part of a national chain of cinemas.

Top quality sound & image. We’ve invested in the latest digital cinema technology to ensure a premium viewing experience, while still offering 35mm print screenings for many of our events.

Cinema that you can’t see elsewhere. From the big screen to classics-in-the-making, engaging documentaries to local film festival presentations – we bring you the best in film 364 days a year.

Immersive Screen Arts programming. Your membership helps us continue special programmes you’ve come to love, like National Theatre Live, Bolshoi Ballet, Met Opera, Glyndebourne, RSC and ENO.

Programmes for all members of the community. It’s with your help that we can instill and cultivate the love of film with programmes like Bringing Up Baby (BUBClub), Kids Club, Toddler Time and Film Studies.

Commitment to Education. The Phoenix employs a full-time Head of Programming and Community to work closely together with local schools, youth organisations and families with young children.

Maintaining our historic cinema.  We rely on your support to help us maintain the beauty and infrastructure of our 1910 treasure. Please help us keep the oldest continually running purpose-built cinema vibrant and relevant for generations to come.
